Just a quick one to say hello and we've arrived safely. We are just about to head off to bed! We all managed to stay awake, but a couple were flagging and dropping off in the car on the way to the hotel and on the final flight.
The flights were all on time and good, we arrived early on all of them so had time to spare.
While waiting in San Francisco for the next flight, we managed to escape out from the airport and went into the city for a short time. Having a fun ride on a tram which took us up and down the steep roads. Rather like a rollercoaster.
We landed in Redding at about 9pm which would be 5am UK time. Then waited for about 30mins to sort the car hire about, we got to the hotel about 10pm.
Gordon has gone into another room as the third bed option was not very good! It was a bit cramped and the mattress was thin so you could feel the springs underneath it. Another guy had the same problem and so they've got another room together while Julian and I are sharing in the original room.
The hotel is sufficient for our needs, but............................it does not have anything within walking distance such as restuarants and it has no bar or area to congregate in which is a shame, as this is useful in the evenings.
