It has been an excellent first day here.
I want to say a little about the middle session of the day although each one has been so good I could write for ages about them all!
The person leading (Lori Bryne - Community Pastor, who heads up Small groups and 'Core ' Groups) asked us to invite the Holy Spirit to speak to us those things that the Lord wanted to say to us right then. We were in groups of 4, men together or women together. With 'soaking' music playing, each of us wrote down our letter from God. Then we shared what the Spirit had said to us and the other 3 prayed and shared. We had prophetic words for each other and ministered through the contents of the letters. It's was so powerful yet 'easy' in the sense that the letters themselves just flowed, and the ministry was very moving even though we were deliberately put with people we didn't know. For each of us in our group the things shared by the others were confirmations of stuff in their lives or areas they had been asking God about. Very simple, but powerful.
The church 'campus' is lovely. Since the weather was beautiful today - very warm and bright sunshine - we had our lunch outside in the gardens around the Prayer Centre. I felt so grateful to be here in such a beautiful place enjoying the Lord's kindness to us. I have felt all day that the Lord is giving me presents - good sleep, (an answer to prayer, see my no. 2 item below, thank you!) wonderful teaching sessions, generous and considerate care from the staff here, such a beautiful landscape of mountains around us and glorious weather to enjoy. Thank you, Jesus!
Lots of love to you all - we are thinking of you!
